In addition to working with adults to find healthy ways to manage their feelings and behaviors, I also work with adolescents and children with a wide range of emotional and behavioral difficulties that affect them in family and social relationships, both at home and in school.
My Adolescent specialties include grief and loss, trauma recovery, divorce and separation, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and identity development/exploration. I value each individual's perspective and experiences regardless of their age, and provide a supportive and validating environment.
When one member of a family is struggling, the whole family struggles. I believe you, as a parent, are the expert in your family.
However, during the hard times, it can be difficult to access your strengths and sometimes you need some new tools or a fresh perspective.
In parenting support, I provide a sounding board and offer insight and experience to help identify approaches and interventions for your family. I work with parents to come up with realistic and manageable solutions to problems at home, in school and in the community, and I provide on-going support to make these changes.
I am a certified clinical supervisor providing clinical supervision to students and those working towards licensure. Contact me to discuss your supervisory needs.
